Privacy Policy for MClaw (Clawbot on iOS)

MClaw ("the App") is an on-device AI agent designed to run entirely on your iPhone or iPad. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
1. Overview
MClaw is built with a privacy-first architecture:
- No account required
- No server connection required for core functionality
- No cloud processing — AI runs only on your device
- All AI processing runs locally on your device
Because of this design, all user data stays on your device — we do not upload any of it to third parties.
2. Data Collection
2.1 Data we process for AI
To provide AI conversation and agent features, the App may process:
- User input — text you type, and where supported: voice (via microphone) and images you upload or capture
- Conversation context — recent messages and thread history used to generate relevant replies
- Identity or system prompts — any instructions or persona settings you configure for the AI (if used)
- AI-generated responses, agent memory, scheduled tasks, configuration, and local files you choose to use in the App
MClaw uses only local (on-device) LLMs. We do not collect personal data on our own servers, and we do not upload any of this data to third parties. All of the data above is processed and stored only on your device.
2.2 How we collect it
Data is provided by you inside the App when you type, upload files, or use the microphone. The App processes it entirely with on-device models — no network request is made to any AI provider. We do not operate a central server that receives your conversations, and no data is sent to third-party AI services.
2.3 Use of data
Processed data is used to generate AI replies and show them to you in the App. If you enable memory or similar features, the App may persist conversation history or agent state on your device only to improve context and continuity. We do not use your data for advertising or tracking.
3. Local Storage
To function as an autonomous agent, MClaw stores some data locally, including:
- Agent memory and state
- Task schedules
- Logs required for debugging or automation
- Model files and AI resources
- App settings
All storage remains within your device's secure operating system environment.
You can delete this data at any time by:
- Clearing app data, or
- Uninstalling the App.
4. Network Access
MClaw is designed to work offline. However, the App may access the internet only if you explicitly enable features that require it, such as:
- Downloading AI models (model files only; your conversations are not sent)
- Installing extensions or skills
- Accessing external APIs configured by the user (e.g. skills that you enable)
- Executing skills that require network requests
When such features are used, data sent to third-party services is controlled entirely by the user's configuration.
The developer of MClaw does not operate a backend that receives your prompts or agent data.
5. Data Retention
All data processed by MClaw is retained only on your device. There is no fixed retention period imposed by the App; data persists until you delete it (e.g., by clearing app data or uninstalling the App). The developer does not retain copies of your data on any server.
6. Third-Party Services
MClaw uses only local LLMs for AI conversation. No conversation data (input, context, or prompts) is uploaded to any third-party AI provider.
If you enable extensions, skills, or external APIs that make their own network requests, those services may process data under their own policies. You are responsible for reviewing those policies before use.
7. Analytics and Tracking
MClaw does not include tracking, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics.
The App does not track users across apps or websites.
8. Data Security
Because all core processing occurs locally:
- Your data remains on your device
- No centralized database of user data exists
- No account credentials are stored by the developer
iOS system protections help secure the data stored by the App.
9. Your Control
You have full control over your data:
- Delete stored memory at any time
- Remove installed skills or models
- Disable network features
- Uninstall the App to remove all stored data
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect improvements to the App or changes in legal requirements. Updates will be posted with a revised date.
